New commemoration events for the 125th anniversary of the birth of maestro Emili Pujol

Within the framework of the VIII edition of the “Miquel Llobet” Barcelona International Guitar Competition, several events will take place in Lleida next Saturday, November 5, in tribute to maestro Emili Pujol – a musician closely linked to the Cervera Conservatory and the International Music Course of our city, currently organized by the Chair that bears his name -, in commemoration of the 125th anniversary of his birth.

Emili Pujol i Vilarrubí (La Granadella, 1886 – Barcelona, 1980), performer on guitar and hand viola, composer, musicologist and pedagogue, has been one of the most notable performers of the 20th century and one of the best researchers and historians of the plucked string instruments.
