The first performance took place this Saturday, June 29, at 9:00 p.m., by the Chilean Duo Identidad, with Carlos Brito on viola and Luis Guevara on classical guitar.

The Garrigues Guitar Festival is an international gathering of plucked instruments that was born in 2012, and which aims to recover and disseminate the musicological work of maestro Emili Pujol. This edition will be held from June 29 to August 24 and there are about twenty concerts scheduled in various towns of the Garrigues. In addition, as was done in the previous edition, the contest leaves the district administrative limits and will make a stop in Torrebesses, in Segrià.

The concert that took place in the Jardines del Terrall was free and featured a tasting of local products. With their interpretations, Brito and Guevara unify two geographically distant worlds, Catalonia and Chile, hand in hand with popular Catalan songs and the modern language of Chilean works.

The next concert will take place on July 6 at the Cogul La Roca dels Moros complex with the duo Seró & Herraiz.
