Lídia Pujol (voice, texts, and songs) and Guillermo Rizzotto (guitar and compositions) have prepared a show called The Memory of the Stone, a recital of voice and guitar with instrumental pieces and songs that speak of love and freedom. The event will include a visit to the paintings and a tasting of local products.
Taking advantage of the visit, El Cogul welcomes festival attendees with the graffiti ‘Mares de la terra’ by artist Lily Brik. The large-scale mural is a perspective of Mireia Serra on the rock paintings of Roca dels Moros and the landscape of Valle del Set as it passes through the town of El Cogul.
The Consell Comarcal de les Garrigues organizes the seventh edition of the Garrigues Guitar Festival from July 6th to September 8th. Along with the concerts, the audience can enjoy guided tours, dinners, wine tastings, screenings of the documentary ‘Emili Pujol, el mestre’ and cultural routes.
This event pays tribute to the master guitarist and musicologist from Les Garrigues, Emili Pujol (La Granadella, 1886 – Barcelona, 1980), an international representative figure of the guitar instrument in the 20th century.
