The Garrigues Guitar Festival was born to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the birth of the famous guitarist and musicologist Emili Pujol, as a project that the teacher himself projected in the 70s, promoting classical music to all corners as a cultural expression. from his native land.

This proposal starts with the idea of bringing the highest cultural expressions and initiatives closer to the populations of Garrigues. It aims to be a meeting point for instrumental plucked music, a manifestation of the highest figures of the guitar, the vihuela and the lute of all time, thus propagating and disseminating the musicological work carried out by the master pedagogue Emili Pujol. throughout his life.
It will be a balanced programming with local, national and international formats; import great masters and groups from all over the world and project new local national proposals for their promotion abroad. We will also take advantage of the different synergies in the region for the dissemination of local heritage spaces and promotional actions of participating entities of gastronomy, recreational activities and popular and traditional culture.
